Hanna Somatics

Somatics is a form of neuromuscular movement reeducation that teaches the recipent to recognize, reverse and release tightly held muscles contributing to chronic pain due to injury, accidents or postural habituation. Somatics restores flexibility and freedom of movement right from the first session and quickly relieves the pain of headaches, back, neck and shoulder pain, sciatica, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, aching joints, and more. Recipients gain a deeper sense of self-awareness and ability to change their own movement in order to eliminate pain.

Pre & Postnatal Massage

Pregancy Massage - for expectant mothers in their 2nd and 3rd trimesters.  Massage during pregnancy increases circulation, reduces upper and lower body tension and fatigue and encourages deep relaxation for both mother and baby. An excellent way to nurture body, mind and spirit both during pregnancy, and after the baby is born.

Reflexology

Based on theories of energy zones that run through the body, the work involves applying alternate thumb and finger pressure to reflexes on hands or feet, affecting corresponding areas in the body. This results in deep relaxation, energy release and stress reduction, helping the body return to homeostasis. Also can be applied to face and ear. Face, ear and neck are a wonderful combination. 1 1/2 hour combo could include feet and hands, or face, ear and hands, etc. Sessions are given fully clothed, except shoes and socks, on a massage table.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu originated from Japan and has is roots in Folk and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Energy (Ki or Qi) reading of the client's hara, located in the abdomen, is assessed to define the session's approach. It consists of gentle stretching and rhythmic compression by hands, arms and knees applied to the meridians (energy lines) of deficiency and excess. Rebalances the flow of energy in the body. The session is done fully clothed on a mat on the floor. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Thai Yoga Bodywork

The art of Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient and sacred system of healing with roots in Yoga, Ayurvedic Medicine and Buddhist spiritual practice. Combining rhythmic compression, gentle rocking, acupressure on Sen Lines (energy pathways) and assisted yoga stretching, it creates a powerful release of stress and tension, an increase in vitality and well being, and stimulates the flow of healing energies within the body. The session is done fully clothed on a mat on the floor. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Rates: $120 for 1 and 1/2 hours (recommended), $80/hour, $160/2 hours (plus 7% sales tax).

Therapeutic Massage

This work combines Swedish, deep tissue and neuromuscular massage techniques in order to help relax tight muscles and reduce stress. Energy work is also a part of every session, to add a level of relaxation and balance.

Qigong Meridian Therapy (QMT)

Qigong Meridian Therapy (QMT) is likegetting an "energy tune-up" which increases "vital energy" (Qi) and stimulates the clients own innate healing ability. Executed fully clothed on a table using special hand techniques on the body focusing on meridians and acupoints. Very stimulating, relaxing and deep.Debra is continually expanding her knowledge of Qi/vital energy and its healing potential. Sessions given fully clothed on a massage table. Comfortable clothing recommended.
